Bhutan

The Buddhist Kingdom, lies between Tibet and India in the Himalayas. Bhutanese refer to their homeland as Druk-yul 'Land of the Thunder Dragon'. It was the British who named the country Bhutan, possibly deriving from an ancient Indian term "Bhotania" meaning "end of the land of the Bhots" (Tibet). Bound in a strong sense of culture and tradition much of Bhutan's fertile land is farmed.
